Pr. Chikhani was also a former teacher with the Ministry of National Education and an administrative employee with the rank of Head of Department in the General Directorate of Public Administration, serving as Head of the Foreigners’ Department and Head of the Office in the General Directorate of Personal Status. He Successfully completed the Heads of Divisions course at the Civil Service Board.

He was a University Professor at the Faculty of Law and Political Science at the Lebanese University, from 1994 to 2001, and then from 2006 onward. He has been in charge of numerous litigation proceedings as lead counsel notably before the Lebanese and Emirati courts and the Dubai International Arbitration Center (DIAC).

Antoine is recognized as one of Lebanon’s leading litigation lawyer before the Court of Cassation and Council of State.

He is also known for his extensive experience in public law especially Administrative Law and Constitutional Law. With more than four decades of substantial experience, he is also well versed in all areas of Civil and  expert in Criminal Laws.

Antoine has further drafted and commented numerous Laws in many fields in Lebanon such as rent, amendment and reorganization of military courts, decentralization in Lebanon, amendment of the Lebanese penal code (including the offense of adultery, the domestic violence, the protection of married women, marital rape, the abolition of the excuse or mitigating circumstances for the perpetrator of the so-called “honor crime” etc.).

He has also commented the draft law in connection with the autonomy of the judicial authority in Lebanon.

Antoine has as well worked over many legal studies and researches (comparative studies between Lebanese, Egyptian and French laws) including the constraint in the Public International Law (International Treaty Law), the Lebanese administrative summary procedure, the minister in the constitutional system and the Lebanese political regime, the prime minister according to the Lebanese constitution, the legal regime of the deputy in the Lebanese parliamentary circle,  the internal regulations of the Lebanese parliament,  the self-defense, the presumption of innocence, the confession of the accused, the right of substitution of the supervisory authority in the municipalities’ law, the mitigating excuse in the Lebanese penal code.

He has further supervised and proofreaded several publications including the general theory of of proof before the administrative jurisdiction, the Cassation before the administrative jurisdiction, the third-party opposition before the administrative jurisdiction, the Appeal for abuse of power before the administrative jurisdiction.

She has extensive experience in company and commercial law, in addition to banking and finance laws, coupled with her academic responsibilities of lecturer of commercial law at the Faculty of Law of Université Saint-Joseph (Beirut).
