Marie has been advising corporate multinationals and SMEs for more than 30 years with a detail driven and nearly scientific approach to the law leading to meticulous solutions and strategies. Marie Considers each owner’s personal circumstances in terms of designing and implementing wealth planning strategies to reduce tax burdens and create corporate governance principles that promote longevity in any business, especially in family-owned enterprises.

She regularly advises on the formation, corporate structure, annual regulatory maintenance and day-to-day operations of both local and cross-border businesses. She takes a holistic approach evaluating both the purpose and location of a company as well as the nationality and personal details of the owners to recommend, create and maintain the appropriate business vehicle in the most suited jurisdiction.

As the head of our international commerce practice, she advises our international clients on their businesses in Lebanon and the region. She manages the registration of local branches and representative offices and ensures their compliance with the Lebanese tax and company regulations.

With decades of knowledge, she is a powerful advocate to have in a broad range of corporate transactions including those concerning distribution, franchising, commercial representations, service provider, employment and others. Marie joined the Beirut Bar Association in 1978.
